    Abstract
To encourage the development of space technology in Mexico, at the initiative of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is developing an educational program conducted in the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) to train Mexican specialists in different areas of space engineering. The educational program was conducted within the framework of the Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Mexico, and under the General Agreement on Culture, Science and Education Cooperation between UNAM and MAI. The program was designed to provide theoretical and practical training necessary for the development of space projects. The structure of the educational program consists of three stages, the first is the study of postgraduate plans for the development of space technology, the second includes the study of a group of subjects fundamental to the development of space systems and the last stage is the carrying out a practical plan that allows direct participation in all stages of developing a scientific microsatellite. In the educational process are involving several space research centers and Russian space companies. The group of Mexican specialists involved in the educational program forms the basis for the development of space technology center at the Faculty of Engineering of the UNAM. The paper describes the development of the educational program, the interaction of the participating institutions and the academic results achieved. The process described is the precedent of an international school for the training of specialists in space technology and is of particular interest for the development of groups of specialists from developing countries.
