- Abstract
China had implemented five launches which generated some operational debris in GEO carrying apogee motor. This paper shows the detail information about these events, including the orbiters’ name and the type of rockets. We found that the five launches had produced five operational debris totally. The orbit tracking shows that the initial orbital characteristic of these in-orbit operational debris are consistent with those of the original satellites. However, these motors’ orbit migrated every day. We had used our optical telescopes to observe the debris and collected more than 100 arc observations for each debris. Meanwhile, we also got their images. Base on these images, we study their relative magnitude by comparing the brightness of debris with that of stars. Then, through these debris magnitudes and their orbit, we can estimate the measured-size of them approximately.
