Abstract

The geopolitical and economic landscape of the world has considerably changed in two decades. This can be particularly observed in the strategic space sector and the wider space economy. This paper presents recent economic trends that demonstrate how the international landscape for space activities has evolved. Key indicators published in the report {\it The Space Economy at A Glance 2011}, from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will be presented.
