    Abstract
China’s Lunar Exploration Program was officially initiated in January 2004. Its technologies and activities in this field have been developing at a rapid rate and have gained many achievements over the last few years. While it is entitled to scientific investigate the moon, China assumes legal obligations in its exploration and utilization in accordance with international law. This article attempts to examine the major legal issues in these activities, including non-claim of sovereignty and property rights; utilization of space resources; liability; environmental protection; demilitarization, etc.
