- Abstract
For further manned space exploration, JAXA is approaching to prepare for an on-orbit demonstration with development of a water recovery system and an air revitalization system in 2015. Also, JAXA is developing a cabin environment monitoring apparatus (CANA) which has more than 100 nodes of various sensors to grasp cabin environment in detail. The sensors are air flow, man moving, illuminometer, smell and some gases. CANA will be launched in 2013. Furthermore, a real-time 3D radiation monitoring system (J-TEPC) is being developed and targeted to be launched in 2014.
