Abstract

The International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) has set up six thematic Commissions in order to provide opportunities for the initiation of focus activities and to enable the exchange of ideas among interested members of the Academy and space professionals in general. 

This paper will present the activities carried out by the Commission III. This Commission, composed of senior space experts from all over the world, deals mainly with Space Technology and Systems Development issues.

In particular, the Studies recently published by the Commission and those close to completion will be presented; the paper will also indicate the future trends for the Commission III and explain how it is possible to participate in the activities of the Commission.
