    Abstract
The Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) is a working model for establishing a Space workforce in an emerging nation using inter-regional cooperation as the baseline. The case of an international cooperation between two organizations, from two different sectors and from two different regions with mutual interest in developing a successful Space workforce within the Space industry will be presented. The aim of the program is to build a team of Engineers in the field of advanced science and technology with a focus on Space technologies, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With the success of the first satellite and the full involvement of the team in the design of the second, challenges and obstacles are constantly being tackled at the international, regional and country level. The paper will present the measures taken to provide the Engineers with the necessary tools to be able to establish themselves in this field and to benefit the Space Industry and humanity as a whole. In addition, the paper will present the various factors, both negative and positive, that contributed to the development of the Space workforce at EIAST.
