    Abstract
After the public release of Global Exploration Roadmap (GER), at 2011 Sep., International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG) participating agencies have strived to share views and information about the Space Exploration (SE) benefits. SE has produced many benefits in last 5 decades and will produce fruitful ones in near and long term future.
SE has many stakeholders, mainly people involved in science, technology, education, commercial, public, international, and politics. For each of the stakeholders, SE benefits can have a different meaning. SE benefits could be characterized along the time axis, near term, mid term, and long term. SE benefits also could be described by concrete benefits and abstractive ones. They also can be categorized with tangible and in-tangible. In relation with SE, benefits could be characterized into direct benefits and in-direct ones.
Among these wide spectrum of SE benefits, certain ones are far-reaching, broadly affecting global society and thus fundamental to the justification of SE enterprise. The fundamental SE benefits are “innovation, inspiration, and global partnerships”. SE makes a unique and strong contribution to each of these key societal priorities.
This study is still on-going as the part of ISECG effort to realize the vision for SE described in the Global Exploration Strategy. On the paper, the interium report of SE benefits study could also be presented, in relation with Global Exploration Roadmap ver.2
