- Abstract
The Southern Hemisphere Summer Space Program was conceived as an experiment to fill the seasonal gap in the International Space University's intensive inter-disciplinary space education offerings. The partnership between ISU and the University of South Australia has been a great success and the partners are planning a fourth program in Adelaide, Australia in 2014 before migrating the program to other Southern Hemisphere locations. This paper will outline some of the academic achievements to date and will highlight the importance of the program in building space capability in the Global South.
