    Abstract
The first Venezuelan Remote Sensing Satellite (VRSS-1) is the first Chinese optical remote sensing satellite to export, which is used in several domains, such as investigation, evaluation, dynamic detection and management of Venezuelan territory, resource utilization, detection of environment and disaster, and city construction as well. Based on the user’s application requirement and areospace industry development requirement, China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) not only successfully finished the rapid development in 18 months, but also provided 5 phases training to the users: Basic Technology, VRSS-1 Design Explanation, VRSS-1 System Design, Project Management, and On-site AIT Training. From technical point of view, the training included basic space knowledge, satellite orbit, mission analysis, system design, configuration and layout, power balance, interface with launch vehicle, interface with ground system, and development technical flow, which covered the whole process of design, manufacture, integration and test of a satellite. From management point of view, the training included program management, product assurance, AIT management and document management, etc. Through a series of training in a short period, not only trained a group of satellite engineers for the users, but also built a solid foundation fro satellite delivery, satellite in-orbit application and aerospace industry development of Venezuela.
