Abstract

The Australian Space Policy Unit along with industry partners recently conducted a skills audit of the Australian space sector in order to develop a deeper understanding of the space skills base in Australia. 

The results of this audit revealed the the skills required to support space activities in Australia now and in the future, the supply and demand for these particular skills, recognise the future skill sets required and the challenges these pose, and identify ways to address these challenges.

The audit may also provide a comparitive industrial model for other emerging space nations to consider.
