- Abstract
Russian Federation attaches great importance to the problems of space debris. Russian Federation is working on all issues related to the problems of space debris: observation, modeling, spacecraft protection, space debris mitigation measures. The report presents the main results of the research and work carried out in the Russian Federation in 2012-2014, in the areas of modeling space debris and space debris mitigation measures. Presents the latest results of calculations spatial density and fluxes space debris particles larger than 1 mm for LEO refined version of the model space debris SDPA, as well the forecast space debris in LEO region for 50 years, under various scenarios, taking into account mutual collisions of objects with size > 1 cm.
