This paper will describe Bigelow Aerospace’s success in transforming the concept of expandable habitats from idea to reality, beginning with a review of the Genesis I and Genesis II pathfinder missions, and moving forward to ongoing programs such as the Bigelow Expandable Activity Module. The author will also explore the unprecedented opportunity that these affordable, innovative platforms will provide and how countries and companies can benefit by utilizing these game-changing systems.
