- Abstract
In determining meteorological elements from satellite image data, the consideration of DEM data is of great significance. In this paper, a plan of determining isobaric surface is presented with the consideration of topographical effect i.e. DEM effect, when determining the weather elements in the way of satellite meteorological method, and the result is compared with observation data to demonstrate its physical and engineering validity. According to this plan, the surface temperature is determined by satellite meteorological method before acquiring isobaric surface and determining wind direction and wind speed. This plan is being in wide use in satellite meteorological service activities.
