    Abstract
    It is very difficult for us to control the growth of microbes (such as moulds) on the surfaces of equipments in the space station, which can not only threaten astronauts’ health but also directly affect equipment operation. The problem has not been solved totally so far. The sources of the microbe in space station, the harms of the microbe and the effect of space environment on physiological and biochemical characteristics of the microbe is discussed here. In addition, progress on present microbe control technique in space station is summarized based on the civil and foreign research data. Some future approaches for microbe control in manned space station are also proposed.
