- Abstract
Global character of information changes occurring today is evident, as well as an urgent need of revising the approaches to education of children who would live in the fundamentally different knowledge and activities’ environment compared with the existing conventional school system. Owing to development of information technologies, i.e. local and global electronic networks, multimedia training aids, we’d face soon a significant change of the form, content and, perhaps, the sense of school education… Remote training is of vital importance today, since it is aimed at meeting the individual educational needs of working or studying people occupied, as a rule, during the working or academic day; for example, talented pupil of village school gets an opportunity of training with highly qualified experts from anywhere in the world without leaving his/her place of residence. Since one of priority directions of work of A.M. Makarov National Youth Aerospace Education Center is the introduction of new methods and technologies in the educational system, in 2012 the Center in cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Youth Creative Science and Technology Center started working on implementing the “Virtual Aerospace School” Electronic Resource with involvement in remote training of pupils of general education schools and children with limited access to educational services. The first in Ukraine project titled as “Virtual Aerospace School” represents the creation of open information and educational resource in order to secure equal access to high-quality education. Content of the electronic school includes texts of lectures, media-lessons, interactive texts, virtual laboratories etc. Users can participate in on-line lessons, conferences, forums, Internet-conferences. For less than one year of the virtual aerospace school work, over 500 pupils and students of the Dnipropetrovsk region have been registered therein and attended classes on line.
