    Abstract
The contribution made by space science and technology to humans are being more and more acknowledged, strengthening space education and attracting more people to the space community have become very critical to the on-going and sustainable development of the 21st century space industry. Drawing on the experiences of worldwide space education programs, we have summarized hard and soft approaches of space science popularization work; hard approaches are discussed mainly from diversified media of popular science education (including newspaper, TV, movie, internet, science museum, and education base, etc.) while soft approaches are elaborated from advanced education concepts (including reasonably structured teacher group, ingenious lecturing, inspiring innovation and practical ability). Thus, the aim of identifying with spaceflight culture, merging into spaceflight atmosphere, and inheriting spaceflight spirit may be achieved as an effort to push for joint progress in human spaceflight cause.
