- Abstract
Developing Satellite Technology is an important part in Vietnam’s strategies on developing Space Science. Vietnam’s government formed the national policy and legal frame for research, application and international cooperation from 2013 to 2020. The initial infrastructure for Vietnam Space Center project was started to build (2011). Vietnam National Satellite Center (VNSC – established in September 2011) is the unit that manages this project. Our target is to master the manufacture technology of the small satellite, to manufacture and launch two earth observation small satellites, the first one in 2016 and the second one in 2020. To implement this target, while building the initial infrastructure, developing human resources is carried out at the same time. We concentrate in training our staff and students in universities. They can participate in Satellite Education project and in Remote sensing technology. In the cooperation with universities, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding between VNSC and Universities. University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) – a Vietnam - France University (established in 2010) is one of universities that is in close collaboration with VNSC. This is new model in the cooperation of Education and training to develop human resources for the satellite technology. The program is supported by many French and Vietnamese institutes and universities. USTH is the only university that supplies master program in Department of Space and Applications in Vietnam. Space Technology and Application in is an important step for the Development Space Technology Education and training human resources in Vietnam for the next decades is our priority.
