- Abstract
In September 2010, Chinese government approved the space station project and planned to complete building China space station around 2020. In September 2013, United Nations/China Workshop on Human Space Technology was held in Beijing, in which international cooperation on China space station were widely discussed. This paper summarize the Chinese policy for international space cooperation and then analyze the potential cooperation areas. Firstly, China’s national space policy and international cooperation agency are introduced and the completed cooperation activities in manned space are summarized. Secondly, China space station project is introduced including system parameters, module configuration and utilization areas which covers several areas including space life science, material science, microgravity physics, etc. Finally potential international cooperation areas are analyzed from the point of space station module development, astronauts training and visit, payload development and on-orbit experiments.
