- Abstract
SETI searches aim at detecting radio waves carrying a message from ETs. This implies filtering away noise of all kinds. The traditional algorithm is the Fourier Transform, but other ways of detecting signals are possible. In this paper we review the evolution of signal detection algorithms of the first 25 years of SETI evolution (1959-1984).
