- Abstract
The "smarter city" has been proposed recently as an innovative concept worldwide. Thus, the construction of urban informatization has become the main idea of Chinese modern urban development. This can be achieved by the application of cutting-edge science and technology, the integration of information resources, and combination with business applied system. This would eventually improve the urban design, construction and management with a completely new concept. China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation (CASIC) as one of the largest high-tech enterprise in China, has remarkably strong competence in the construction of technology integration, and crucial information technology project. Taking its own advantage in relevant technologies, and combining closely with the local city, CASIC has fulfilled created several “smarter city” cases successfully, and provided better urban life for the citizens. Our poster will present the recent achievement exploration by CASIC on building “smarter cities”, discuss the viability of transfer aerospace technology into the development of “smarter city”. These experiences will pave the road for future application of aerospace-related technology into civic-related technology development.
