    Abstract
The paper provides a comprehensive overview of start-up policies under the main space agencies. The different definitions of space technology transfer imply ad hoc policy for start-ups’ supports. There is a growing interest for the cases of spin-off implying transfer of space-based technologies to terrestrial sectors as a multiplier factor of investments. For these purposes the paper will provide a comparison of the current outcomes of startup’s policies from ESA and the European national space agencies, NASA, ISRO, JAXA and the emerging cases of Thailand and Vietnam. The paper will conclude with a set of recommendations for further research and policy implementation mechanisms.
