- Abstract
mobiPV is an innovative concept aimed at improving procedure interaction, visualisation and space-to-ground interaction on-board the International Space Station. It consists of Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) equipment (Google Nexus 5 / Google Glass / iPad) loaded with custom software allowing efficient navigation of standard Operations Data Files (ODFs), hands-free activity execution, as well as real-time multimedia annotation. This powerful collaboration environment is completed by the possibility of establishing a bi-directional”over-the-shoulder” video feed with voice loop between the experts on ground and the crew on-board. A prototype of mobiPV will be tested by ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen during his IRISS mission to the International Space Station in September 2015.
