- Abstract
Japan Manned Space Systems Corporation (JAMSS) started the small satellites launch services below from April 2014, when are now open by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) opened these opportunities not only to educational, scientific or technical demonstration purpose of Japanese organizations, but also commercial purpose. This change allows foreign entities to use JAMSS services as well. 1) J-SSOD (JEM-Small Satellite Orbital Deployer) and other deployers from Japanese Experimental Module (JEM) of International Space Station (ISS) 2) Japanese Launch Vehicle as secondary payload. JAMSS supports following contents in above services. - Interface coordination with launch vehicle and/or ISS - Safety activities management - Technical consultation to meet requirements - Transportation support and hardware receiving in Japan, etc. This paper introduces overview of JAMSS small satellites launch services with some technical key notes and lessons learned for the first commercial missions that JAMSS supported.
