    Abstract
Hosted payload provides an efficient approach to access space experiments and extends mission value for space industry. With the booming of satellite and launcher markets during the past 5 years, CAST has accumulated extensive experiences creating innovative and successful hosted payload programs. Facing a variety of challenges in next 5 years, how to explore the hosted payload opportunities from diverse clients has become a system engineering issue for whole space industry.
This paper gave a brief introduction of typical hosted payload missions in past ten years. They were sent to different orbits, such as LEO, GEO etc. The characteristics of hosted payloads were analyzed. The paper also predicted the next 5 years scenarios including launch opportunities, planed hosted payload missions, etc. Finally, the author proposed the cooperation in relevant hosted payload missions.
