- Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present an overview of the system engineering design process applied to a proposal for updating the Brazilian Data Collecting System. The design process starts with the mission analysis. It continues down to the satellite system life cycle processes and stakeholder analysis, deriving of system requirements from stakeholder requirements, functional analysis, system architecture design, and ends with the detailed design. Product in operation and non-operational scenarios are addressed, as well as organizations of development and non-development activities.
