    Abstract
UNISEC-Global is a consortium of UNISEC Local Chapters. A UNISEC Local Chapter is a consortium of university members which consist of professor and students in each country/region. 11 Local Chapters and 1 association of Local Chapters have been acknowledged in the 2nd UNISEC-Global Meeting held in 2014.
Although it is an international organization, each local chapter is responsible for all legal and financial issues. Thus, joining UNISEC-Global means that members make a commitment to facilitating local activities. Each local chapter needs to consider what would be the best way to facilitate practical space engineering education in their country/region.

UNISEC-Global envisions a world where space science and technology are used by individuals and institutions in every country, rich or poor, and offers opportunities across the whole structure of society – whether academic, industrial or educational – for peaceful purposes and for the benefit of humankind. UNISEC-Global will create an environment that will promote the free exchange of ideas, information and capabilities relating to space engineering and its applications, especially for young people, including those in developing countries and emerging economies.

In this paper, firstly, brief history and background of UNISEC-Global will be introduced as well as the result of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd UNISEC Global Meetings. Secondly, the vision, mission, structure, implementation plan of UNISEC-Global will be described. Thirdly, the status quo of UNISEC-Global will be described with some examples of local chapter activities. Finally, future perspectives of UNISEC-Global will be discussed.
