    Abstract
Recognising the economic potential of the space sector, the United Kingdom has increased its investment in the area with initiatives such as the development of the Harwell Oxford Science & Innovation Campus and the raise of the UK’s subscriptions to the European Space Agency.
With such a favourable environment, the country witnesses an increasingly higher awareness of the potential applications and benefits of space technology and particularly nano-satellites.
This paper aims to support the establishment and development of end-to-end nano-satellites businesses in the UK, providing an analysis of the main issues and benefits of a vertical integration strategy together with its potential challenges and opportunities in the context of the UK space industry.
