- Abstract
Since 2010, the Mexican Space Collective started designing space missions in Mexico. (www.ulises1.mx). We started working 1 year prior to the existence of the Mexican Space Agency. We are only dedicated to generate art-space-missions. Since 2010 we have designed 5 missions that have to do with small satellites. We have designed, 3 low orbit missions, 2 suborbital missions, 2 zero gravity art missions and we designed a nervous system of a telescope as a sculpture. The team now is more than 75 people working. We have generated an immense amount of transfer of technology in different fields: art, science and society. An attitude we call a "conversation" in order to generate a system of work based on the citizen himself that can push the country forward. We have created since 2014 a concept of a "school of satellites" in order to generate a direct social impact in a developing country. These year, 2016, we are launching the Morbido Aerospace Department, which is the first space affairs department belonging to a science fiction festival. It is very important to us to show in this presentation our methodology of work and the different missions we are working in. A different way of working can be a window of opportunity for citizens interested in thinking about space. Just because, to think about space is important.
