- Abstract
Epsilon is a 3rd stage solid propellant rocket which successfully launched at September 2013. To enhance mission performance, we develop the 2nd stage motor as upgrade program (Enhanced Epsilon). This program will be completed in FY2016 for 2nd flight of Epsilon. And we continue improvement such as dual launch function or multiple launch function. For the time being, this Enhanced Epsilon will be operated. From the point of common use, Epsilon 1st stage motor is shared with H2A booster. H2A launch vehicle will be replaced H3 launch vehicle after 2022. Therefore Epsilon 1st stage motor will also be replaced. In this paper we introduce this Epsilon program and efforts on in a design and production for the reliability maintenance of the product.
