    Abstract
    Electric propulsion technology is the most attractive way to improve the communication satellites capability. To meet Chinese new satellites platform development requirement, China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) had successfully developed its own electric propulsion system and completed technology verification. Electric propulsion systems were widely applied in China new satellite platform, such as DFH-4S, DFH-4E, DFH-4SP and DFH-5. Especially DFH-4SP platform is a fully electrical propulsion platform without chemical propulsion. This paper introduces the electric propulsion system development and verification, and introduces the application in China new satellite platform.
