    Abstract
    China aerospace industry is developing systems engineering (SE) standard, and is also participating in developing the standard ISO 18676. China aerospace industry will fully absorb the advanced experiences of international SE standards and specifications, considering the characteristics of China aerospace industry as a basis, to propose advanced SE methods and technology suitable for China's national conditions. The SE standard project team analyzed more than 40 SE standards to obtain the experience to develop the SE standard. The first SE standard is Mil-Std-499, then it is revised as 499A and 499B sequentially. In 1994, it was developed along two separate routes as EIA 632 series standards and IEEE 1220 series standards. From the 1990s, there have been many series of SE standards and specifications, including the ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 series, INCOSE SE Handbook series, BKCASE SEBoK series, ISO/IEC/IEEE 26702 etc. Famous defense and space agencies also issued SE standards and specifications, including NASA SE handbook series, ECSS-E-10 series, US DoD SE fundamentals series, NAVAIR SE guide series, China DoD GJB 8113 standard, European standard EN 9277 and BNAE Aero 000 77, US NAS SE Manual, JAXA BDB-06007B standard etc. We can conclude from development course that, in the managerial concept, SE is coordinating with PM, quality management, software engineering and CMMI; in the technology concept, SE is coordinating with modeling and simulation; in the tools concept, SE is coordinating with the information systems and software tools. On the one hand, SE pursues normalization and comprehensiveness; on the other hand, SE emphasizes tailoring according to the actual situation. The development course of SE standards and specifications gives perfect indications to improve SE management and to develop SE standard in aerospace industry.
