- Abstract
In line with the goals of the space generation advisory council to create a global volunteer base of university students and young professionals in the space sector who have a passion for making a difference and a commitment to action, the nigeria chapter outlined a series of informal activities in order to ignite and perpetuate this passion. This is also within the framework of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space to " facilitate the continued participation of young people from all over the world, especially young people from developing countries and young women, in cooperative space-related activities. This paper reports on the innovative ways and activities that have helped getting young people and the public in general to participate in space programmes. It discusses challenges and ways that have been devised around them and concludes with hopes for the future
