- Abstract
“Most of us won´t ever visit space”. Is an idea that has been around my head for the last years. I grew up in a mining town in the mountainous area of the state of Michoacan -currently one of the most troubled and violent of Mexico. I have a very clear thought in my memory. The trees moving with seeing in the dark, and atend of them, an immensity of stars on the sky darkened The voice of my father telling an endless story of how once, bright spheres toured the lagoon that is at the entrance of the town. It's amazing what is stored in memory. As years later without noticing these words give meaning to my artistic work. Today i know: Most of us won't ever visit espace, and that's fine. Because i realize we do not need to be there, to see and be participant. Right now, we have available to hand all the information we need and the images take us to visit and meet this vast space we're exploring. Now i now photography and art are fundamental to the approach and development of science. Why? For two things: the first is think of photography as a universal human language we can all understand.we have reached a point in history where we produce more images than words. Our communication has become 70 percent visual and how to understand and relate to the world we enters the eye. This important because, it has made a large number of people approaching or curious about what is going inside the space agencies, where they go space exploration, experiments, who are the explorers and even more, as shown that surrounds us. As we perceive and therefore how we perceive ourselves and the planet we inhabit.
