- Abstract
China Academy of Space Technology(CAST) was founded in 20, Feb., 1968. The first President of CAST was Dr. Hsue-shen Tsien. He played an important role in the process of foundation of CAST. This paper introdued the process of establishment of CAST and the major works done by Dr. Hsue-shen Tsien at that period, including his decision, his thought and his other contributions to CAST.
