- Abstract
Asteroid, as the products of solar system in early days, of which the chemical element and mineral composition is of scientific significance to the research of evolution of solar system and human origin. Asteroid mining, as the important value in science, technology, economy and society, is paid much attention by more and more countries. Based on asteroid mission and project, current and future asteroid exploration are studied. Then, the feasibility of asteroid mining is clarified in policy, economy, and technology level. In addition, possible political, military, technological and economical benefits brought by asteroid mining are analyzed. At last, development proposal on asteroid mining in the future is put forward.
