    Abstract
The visibility of the GPS satellites was analyzed using different methods. The transient variations of the visibility of the GPS satellites using date from GPS receiver ground-based station at Centre for Geodesy and Geodynamics (CGG), Toro, Nigeria (lat 10.12oN, long 9.12oE) a station located near the magnetic equator were examined. The results showed that the visibility of the GPS satellites varies diurnally, daily and monthly. It also revealed that the GPS receiver tracked minimum number of 8 GPS satellites and maximum number of 12 GPS satellites. The mean daily values range from 11.1 to 11.8 and mean monthly values ranges from 11.45 to 11.75, which implies reliability of the quality of the GPS services and the GPS receiver is efficient in the location.
