    Abstract
Nowadays, the satellite communication system has become one of the indispensable means of communication over land and sea.To many vessels which carry on the operation on the sea, it is necessary to adopt a satellite communication system as the transmission measure in the special environment.
With the continuous development of marine mobile communication applications, the use of shipboard antennas(usually diameter of less than 1 m )are more widely used .
After research on national and international technical standards and regulations related to antenna interconnection, Maritime Antenna Interconnection Management Software is aplied to compute and analyze small aperture paraboloid antennas of 60cm to 120cm based on state of the art in the market. And in this paper, the authors discuss several points on on the use of small aperture antennas in maritime VSAT networks.
