- Abstract
Lanzhou Institute of physics(LIP) is a engineering research institute in china with more than 40 years experience in electric propulsion(EP) development. The EP product Line now is mainly producing 20cm and 30cm xenon ion thrusters and corresponding power possess units for the communicate satellites, and also research and develop some other kind of EP product, such as uPPT,ECR, RIT and so on. There are at least five Chinese satellites had used or plan to use LIP’s product for in orbit test or station-keeping mission. Life test of 12,000 hours has been finished on the 20cm xenon ion thruster. In this paper, we will provide an overview of our manufacturing process, technology status, test capabilities and so on.
