- Abstract
The Kuaizhou-series solid-fueled launch vehicle is designed and manufactured by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASIC), which is also one of the five main commercial aerospace launch vehicles of CASIC. The rocket Kuaizhou-1A has sent three satellites into space in its first commercial launch mission in January 2017. Different from the traditional Chinese rocker launch mode, this launch was carried out in accordance with market discipline and commercial contracts, which is a landmark in Chinese commercial aerospace sector. CASIC began to develop Kuaizhou-series rockets in 2009, intending to form a low-lost, quick-response rocket family for the commercial launch market. With the rapid development of Chinese commercial aerospace, the Kuaizhou-series solid-fueled launch vehicle is promising to become the main force in the field of commercial aerospace launch. In this paper, we will mainly describe the main types of the Kuaizhou-series, and the technical specifications, the development plans and the innovative business model as well.
