    Abstract
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a rapidly growing technology which is being used to store and secure the overwhelmed data. The RFID is also known as Auto Data Collection System. This system is based on RFID reader, RFID tags, RFID cards and RFID alarm security gate. It can locate the large number of tagged objects e.g. books using radio waves. Library contains books, videotapes, articles and maps which are marked in such a way that desired items can be found easily and self-issued. Some of the problems faced by the librarians are stealing, mislaying and timely un-returning items. In this research work, we develop an RFID based wireless system connected with each and every item of the university library. It helped to improve the security and maintenance of the library items. The results show that the proposed systems helped in the process of barrowing and returning of library items faster, user-friendly and more protected. Moreover, the proposed system provided the modern and state-of-the-art well fitted security system.
