Abstract

This paper discusses how ontologies may help with knowledge management. The discipline of ontological engineering in relation to knowledge management is briefly explained. Summaries of some projects using ontological models in their knowledge or information architectures for space data, astronautics and space science are provided, including the author’s space ontology development efforts.
