    Abstract
In this global economy everything is connected, we hold virtual meetings, share information electronically and send hardware around the world. However, every country has its own laws and regulations on the export of goods, software and information related to sensitive technologies. Any spacecraft, even a nano or pico satellite, qualifies. Not only your home country or countries rules and regulations, but those of your customers, partners and affiliates can influence your ability to fill a contract, supply a part, or launch a satellite. Understanding the commonalities and differences between export control regimes and their application to the space sector is extremely important for entity in the space industry. Utilizing research and experience in international export controls this is a practical set of tools for understanding as working with international export controls whether you are just getting started or reviewing your existing policies and procedures.
