- Abstract
Technical competitiveness plays a crucial role to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. As technology-intensive industry, Aerospace technical competitiveness is mainly reflected in its technical strength. In today's global competition, aerospace enterprises are the major participant in commercial aerospace. To understand the technical competitiveness of aerospace enterprises has the great significance to analyze the global space technology competitive situation and explore the technology evolution track in commercial aerospace. In order to grasp the technology competitiveness status quo of international aerospace enterprises, based on Derwent patent data, this paper selected five leading international aerospace enterprises, including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Airbus, BAE systems and joint technology, to study their technical competitiveness from three dimensions including calendar year patent application, high cited patent, and IPC classification number. This paper also constructed three aerospace enterprise technology competitiveness index indicators to complete the relevant analysis. This research results can provide a reference for the aerospace enterprises to clarify their own competitive position, determine the future technology direction of their research and development, but also provide a reference for the technical layout of commercial aerospace development.
