    Abstract
Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) envisions to create human resources in Nepal to join global space exploration community. As the first step, it started space robotics working group within the organization this year. The working group will focus on how we can contribute in global initiatives especially on the moon and the mars explorations in future.
In 2017, NASO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) and supported Yantra Space which was the first ever walking Robot competition organized in Nepal with the theme of Mars Exploration. Following the success of the event and huge interest among young minds and growing Robotics and AI communities in Nepal, Space Robotics has been chosen as our new initiative.
This paper will explain our vision, strategies and roadmap to integrate robotics, artificial intelligence, science, technology and engineering to have robust space robotics community in Nepal.
