- Abstract
A group of interdisciplinary experts working at NASA Ames Research Center developed science traceability matrix for life detection and future astrobiology missions, roadmapping the goals in the fields of exoplanet research and fundamental space physics and chemistry. These scientists, engineers, and project managers in the Ames Project Excellence (APEX) Development Program on life detection produced these recommendations as the results of creative, exploratory method of outlining an approach to address one of humanity's biggest questions: “are we alone?” by defining “how can we tell?”.
