    Abstract
This paper aims at analyzing the most important Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS) projects currently underway and the impact they could cause in the High Throughput Satellites (HTS) business. Specifically, the impact in a new HTS to be launched by the Bolivian Space Agency (ABE), which it could be around the same time that the first Low Earth Orbit (LEO) VHTS project is scheduled to be operational. The paper concludes with the actions to be carried out by ABE to overcome the process of adaptation to a new business model, where data capacity restriction, high delays, and prices are not the disadvantages they used to be, when compared to terrestrial communications.
