    Abstract
    Patents are vital to ensuring Research and Development investments, and to giving incentives for future development. In a competitive global market on earth, each invention has its intellectual territory, linked to each patent legally protected by independency, so called Territoriality Principle. In space industry, patent enforcement is also possible, and in case of public project, the policy is well coordinated by agreed scheme, such as agreement among participating member states. In emerging private sector in space industry, possible patent conflict should be managed with regarding landscape of patent portfolio and legal frame. In this paper, after analyzing current patent portfolio by using graphical patent analysis tool, in major space industry sector such as Space Structure, including Space Elevator, and will give a proposal for patent management policy among participating member for space structures.
