The "Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Raketentechnik" (Working Community for Rocket Technology) AFRA was founded 1952 in Bremen with the goal to establish a light rocket test facilities for developing small rockets for carrying medicine and post to the islands of the northern sea of Germany while emergency situations. This is the story of this society and there achievements in its early years.
