- Abstract
La Cité de l’espace, Toulouse, France, has been involved in the past years in different educational projects in cooperation with various partners from all over Europe. These projects, funded by the European Commission through H2020 program are ambitious ones, and in this paper the author will introduce the scope and ambition of two of them: Stories of Tomorrow and Open Schools Open Societies, while focusing on the specific role museums or Science Centres like la Cité de l’espace in this type of project involving universities, formal education system, industries and associations. For instance Stories of Tomorrow uses the concept of storytelling for the effective interaction between art and STEM disciplines through the use of innovative digital tools developed specifically for the project. Open Schools Open Societies will describe and implement at scale a process that will facilitate the transformation of schools to innovative ecosystems, acting as shared sites of science learning for which leaders, teachers, students and the local community share responsibility, authority, and from which they all benefit.
